On December 5th and 6th the Mobile Museums of Tolerance visited ACHS, setting up shop in our parking lot. During that time student got the chance to visit the mobile museum with their social studies classes. According to the museum’s website, "first launched in the US in Illinois, the MMOT is based on the Museum of Tolerance (MOT) in Los Angeles, California, the educational arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, which challenges visitors to confront bigotry, anti-Semitism and prejudice, and to understand the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts.The Mobile Museums of Tolerance offer a world-class learning experience, utilizing innovative technology and interactive lessons to bring its message of tolerance directly to schools and communities nationwide. The MMOT aims to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to promote human dignity by empowering them to raise their voices to combat anti-Semitism, bullying, racism, hate, and intolerance."
