Senior Rebecca Schaefer holds student of the month certificate from Antioch Pizza.

Antioch Community High School

ACHS senior Becca Schaefer has certainly made an impact on our school community. As student of the month for September, Becca gets not only the pride of recognition, but also a certificate for a free pizza from our friends at Antioch Pizza. Take a look at what some of her teachers had to say:

I have only known Rebecca for a week and a half now, and she has already made such a positive impression. She is joyful, dedicated, and enthusiastic. As the new Finesse advisor this year, I was so thrilled when Rebecca approached me on her own to say that not only was she in Finesse and excited for the year ahead, but that she was going to start recruiting people immediately. I'm very grateful to have her in my classroom this year, and I know with her positive attitude and work ethic, the sky is truly the limit for her.

-Samantha Kanya

Becca came in after we'd finished NEHS for the year in order to plan for this year. She wanted to do this all on her own, as our president for this year, with no prompting from anyone else. She's remarkable, and we're lucky to have her as our leader this year!

-Audrey Nagel-Schoonmaker

I can honestly say that Becca is one of the most polite and respectful students at ACHS. She always takes time to talk with me, but most importantly, she will always ask how I am doing and does it in a manner that is of care.

-Kurt Sooley

Becca is a GO-GETTER! She's organized and works hard. She is always positive and makes meaningful relationships with her peers and teachers. She's also a trooper. Last summer, she had pneumonia while traveling in Costa Rica. She never once complained and didn't allow being sick to destroy her experience.  She never gives up, and this is shown in the classroom too.

She's amazing. Love her so much.

-Sarah Ogborn

Becca is a leader in and out of the classroom.  She has an exceptional work ethic and inspires others to do their best, too.

-Jim Hellen

Becca has been a wonderful addition to our inaugural Flag Football program! She is a dedicated teammate who goes above and beyond at each practice and truly shows her desire to learn the sport each and every day.

-Coach Johnson

Becca has probably the strongest work ethic of just about any student I have ever met. As a sophomore in yearbook, she instantly stood out, and last year as editor-in-chief, she set the tone and kept the book headed in the right direction all year with clarity and focus. She’s a pleasure to work with, and I firmly believe she will rule the world some day.

-Sam Worden

Becca is amazing!  She always says hi to you in the hallway, is always smiling, extremely positive and upbeat.  She traveled with us to Costa Rica and Panama this summer and had the most positive attitude the entire time, even when she got sick!  She is also one of the first people to help you out if and when she can.  She is trustworthy, outgoing, confident, intelligent, responsible, and so much more!

-Rachel Morales

Becca is a bright spot in the English hall. She is this year's NEHS president, and the group could not have chosen a better person to lead them. Becca is passionate and creative; she is organized and reliable; and she is kind and thoughtful. Becca always has a smile on her face, and she works to make sure everyone feels valued and heard.

-Jamie D’Andrea

Becca is a GO-GETTER! As a Sequoit 2 Sequoit leader, she shows dedication and integrity in her actions. She is extremely kind and caring. You could put her in any situation with any individuals and she will throw kindness to all those around her.

-Tina Bairstow and Jake House

Well done, Becca!
