Community High School District 117 today released its 2022 Illinois Report Cards for Antioch Community High School and Lakes Community High School, which the Illinois State Board of Education prepares annually to provide a detailed look at each school’s progress on academics, student success, school culture and climate, and financial investments.
We are proud to announce that both ACHS and LCHS received the highest “Exemplary” designation which recognizes the highest performing 10 percent of schools.
The annual summative designation – is a descriptor of how well each school in Illinois is meeting the needs of all students. The federal Every Student Succeeds Act requires all states to implement an accountability system that annually meaningfully differentiates the performance of all public elementary and secondary schools. These annual summative designations recognize schools with strong overall performance across a range of academic and student success indicators and identify schools to be placed in school improvement status. Illinois has four annual summative designations: Exemplary, Commendable, Targeted, and Comprehensive.
This designation is based on nine indicators of academic performance, weighted as follows:
1. English Language Arts Proficiency - weighted 7.5>#/p###
2. Math Proficiency - weighted 7.5>#/p###
3. Science Proficiency - weighted 5>#/p###
4. Graduation (composite 4-, 5-, and 6-year graduation rate) - weighted 50>#/p###
5. English Learner Progress to Proficiency - weighted 5>#/p###
7. Chronic Absenteeism - weighted 10>#/p###
8. Climate Survey - weighted 6.67>#/p###
9. 9th-Graders on Track to Graduate - weighted 8.33>#/p###
We are extremely proud of our incredible staff who adapted to the many challenges of the past two years and continued to find ways to help students be successful. Community High School District #117 holds high expectations for all students and believes every student can meet our expectations with the right support. Thank you for your continued partnership to ensure all of our students are thriving!
