New this year, District 117 students may enter all D117 Athletics and Fine Arts events for free by presenting their Student ID (except for IHSA State Series contests). Our staff and students are grateful to the Board of Education for their generous support and their recognition of the value of student participation in after school events, either as members of clubs, sports, or activities, or as spectators or audience members.
In order to take advantage of this free admission, D117 students must present their Student ID by showing either their ID badge or their Infinite Campus ID on their phone.
The admission process will vary depending on the event and where it is held. Please see below for details.
Athletics
To enter athletic events for free, present your Antioch or Lakes Student ID. Your ID will be scanned so that your attendance is recorded. Students can use their physical ID cards or pull up Infinite Campus on their phones and present the barcode to be scanned. Please follow the directions of the staff who are checking and scanning IDs. Please note that IHSA State Series events (regionals, sectionals) are not eligible for free admission. Athletic events that charge admission are Football, Boys Basketball, Wrestling, and Indoor Track and Field.
Fine Arts
Concerts
Concerts are free and are general admission. No ticket required.
Jazz Night and Holiday Gala
Since our booster organizations run Jazz Night and the Holiday Gala, they are not included in this new policy. Tickets must be purchased through Lakes Friends of the Arts or Antioch Performing Arts Boosters.
Other Theatre Productions
Theatre productions other than Fall Play and Musical are usually free and are general admission. No ticket required. If a Theatre event is ticketed, it will follow the same procedure as Fall Play and Musical.
Fall Play and Musical
D117 student admission to the Fall Play or Musical will be free but still requires a ticket. Our auditoriums have limited seating, so we can only sell as many physical seats as we have. Therefore, every student must have a ticket.
D117 students are entitled to 1 free ticket per production. In order to get a free student ticket to the Fall Play or Musical, D117 students must book their ticket online with a special discount code. Information on how to get this discount code will be communicated via student email when tickets go on sale. Free D117 student tickets may be available at the door, but this is not guaranteed—often, our theatre productions sell out. If a show is sold out, it is truly sold out—no one without a ticket will be admitted, so students should plan ahead.
To book your free student ticket:
- Once tickets go on sale, check your email for information on how to get your discount code and book your tickets
- Go to the Vanco Events website for the production
- Book your ticket in the student seating area
- since you can only get a ticket for yourself, coordinate with your friends to get seats together if you are going with a friend
- you will be asked for your Student ID number
- make sure to use the promo code to make your ticket $0, otherwise you will be charged (all sales are final)

Q: What if I have my Student ID, but my friend does not? Can’t I vouch for them?
A: No. They must pay the student admission price if they cannot present a Student ID.
Q: Can I use my Student ID from Infinite Campus on my phone?
A: Yes.
Q: Can students from other districts attend for free?
A: No. This policy only applies to students enrolled at District 117. Students from our sender districts or neighboring districts are not eligible for free admission.

Q: Can I buy my family’s Fall Play/Musical tickets when I book my free student ticket?
