This Sunday, April 23rd, student artists from 100 Illinois schools will come together at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago to showcase their work at the Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE). Among the talented artists on display will be Lakes seniors Ari Miears, Daniel Kabanov, and Emily Hedsund, who collectively earned $1,195,000 in tuition scholarships through the exhibition hosted by Art ConnectED, an organization that is powered 100% by volunteers.
In addition, sophomore Gisele Muzones earned an Early College Program scholarship through the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.
You can find a digital image of each student's work as well as detailed information about the event in the IHSAE 2023 Press Release. You can also view more student artwork in ArtConnectED's web gallery.
Our staff (especially art teachers Michelle Adams and Melody Bonilla) and community are incredibly proud of their work.
