Antioch Community High School
April's student of the month is none other than sophomore Anni Gonzales-Marin. As our first ever sophomore student of the month, Anni can take pride in knowing she stood out to her teachers for a number of reasons; she can also take home a free pizza from our friends at Antioch Pizza Shop. Here's what some of Anni's teachers had to say about her:
Anni is a model student whose presence always brightens my classroom, even in the "still tired" hours of first and second period. The classroom has felt notably emptier on the few occasions she has been absent. Anni is always asking questions to open her mind and further her knowledge of various topics we discuss, and she serves as an excellent classmate and companion as she helps and encourages those around her. I am constantly inspired by Anni's work ethic, drive and determination to keep learning and be a top student on top of her busy schedule, which includes serving as a member of Los Sequoits and playing soccer.

Anni is dynamic, energetic, and has a heart of gold. She uses these qualities in everything she does!

I was only fortunate enough to have Anni in class for one semester but even in that short time, she impressed me. Anni was always on top of her work and was a group leader when it came to physics. She always made sure to continue working until she had mastered the content and also brought a positive attitude to class every day. Although she is no longer in my class, she still stops in during study hall and continues to show the same work ethic that I experienced in physics. Anni is a great student and an even better person who I am happy to support as the student of the month.

Anni Gonzales is a great student to nominate! She is hard working, always striving to learn more in all of her classes, significant contributor and participant in class, friendly and supportive with her classmates, and a member of Los Sequoits.
She plays soccer, and she is always kind to everyone.
-Chad Rusk and the world languages department
Anni is a hard-working student. She plays soccer and is also a part of Los Sequoits. She likes to go to church on Sunday and she participates in events for her church. Anni always goes above and beyond in her work and to be a leader in the classroom. She is very smart and always participates. Her answers are always unique and creative. She is always kind to others and her teachers. She is a pleasure to have in class and I really enjoy and look forward to seeing her each day!
