January's student of the month at ACHS is junior John Stahl. As student of the month, John gets unlimited bragging rights, and a free pizza, generously donated by our friends at Antioch Pizza. Take a look at what some of John's teachers had to say about this exemplary student:

John: Quietly funny and gently turning up the volume. Really, though, John is brilliant.  His insights into texts are incredibly thoughtful and his jokes are quick and smart.  So glad our gang of goofy gusses in 8th hour get to enjoy him.

I am lucky enough to have worked with John on Legally Blonde last spring as well as work with him in theatre class this semester. He always maintains a professional demeanor and is so dedicated to making sure his performance is flawless! Aside from his fantastic performance skills, he is a kind and caring cast member, always helping and uplifting his ensemble members. This past semester, John was selected to perform in the All State Show at the Illinois High School theatre festival. This is such a high honor, as students from all over Illinois auditioned to be a part of the production. We were lucky enough to see him perform, and he shined onstage and off!

Happy to brag about John Stahl! I've known John since he was maybe four years old, and have had the privilege to watch him grow up. He is super talented – he's a great student, and he can sing, dance, and act. I've seen him perform countless times over the years. He also has a really kind heart and knows how to be a good, supportive friend to others.

John was an excellent student in Spanish 1, who always went above and beyond on his speaking and writing exams. He was impressive and a joy to have in class!

I have John in PE class.  John is a terrific student.  He always has a smile on his face and I enjoy seeing him interact and have fun with his friends in class.  He works hard and is always respectful to others in class.

I had John in a few classes. John is the utmost professional and the epitome of a phenomenal student. John does not cut any corners and ensures everything he does is top-notch. I expect great things from John moving forward both at ACHS and beyond!
